SR 87 (Duthie-Martin Highway) is a vital route for Valley residents traveling north to Payson and other Rim Country towns and recreation spots.

SR 87 New Four Peaks Road to Dos S Ranch Road Reconstruction and Erosion Control Project
ADOT will soon begin a reconstruction/widening and erosion control project on SR 87 between mileposts 204.3 and 213.0, approximately halfway between metro Phoenix and Payson. The project is designed to improve traffic flow by widening the roadway. Additional work will be performed during this time to repair slopes and ditches, reinforce embankments, and implement modifications to meet state and federal standards.

The project is anticipated to begin September 7, 2010 and is expected to be completed by July 2011.
The following project will require traffic restrictions on SR 87. Northbound SR 87 will be used as a two-way detour during construction on the southbound lanes. Daytime and nighttime construction activities are expected. Motorists may experience slowing and traffic delays, including temporary closures. ADOT will provide regular project updates via this website and email. If you wish to receive regular updates via email, please contact the Project Team at 602.787.3927 or email us at ADOT@hdrinc.com
