Study Overview Closures & Restrictions

State Route 801 is a proposed new east/west freeway in western Maricopa County. It would connect existing State Route 85 to the proposed Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway), with a connection to the proposed extension of Loop 303 south of Interstate 10. The portion of the State Route 801 Study project is funded with the half-cent sales tax under the voter-approved Proposition 400.
